Looking great doesn’t have to cost a lot.  Looking great is all about investing in classic pieces which can be styled in a variety of ways.  Perhaps no other piece is as versatile as the little black dress.

The LBD can be worn for almost any occasion.  Here I have styled it with stilettos and a retro-inspired necklace, which gives it a fun feel.  By replacing the necklace with a string of pearls and putting my hair up I could have conveyed a far more conservative look.  Throw on a pair of sandals and tie a sweater around my shoulders and the LBD becomes a casual day piece.  The amazing part is that my entire above outfit cost me less than $100.00!  I bought the dress on sale last season at Ann Taylor Loft, a store which always has a plentiful sale rack, for roughly $60.00.  The shoes were purchased at DSW this February for $30.00 (LOVE them!).  The earrings were a gift and the necklace was borrowed.  Voila!  Versatile, chic, simple, sophisticated, timeless…you will never regret purchasing a nice little black dress!
